Do you ever get that feeling?
You’ve just finished your mix. You take it out to your car. And you hit the play button.
What follows is one of the most heart wrenching feelings that I’ve ever felt.
It sounds awful. And you have no idea why.
All of that work... for nothing.
Where did you go wrong? You did everything “right”...
But it still sounds nowhere near the way you wanted it to.
And here’s the worst part:
Because you don’t know where you went wrong, it feels like you’ll never be able to fix it.
Do you know how many times I’ve been through this experience?
It literally took me hundreds of mixes before I took a track to my car, hit play, and went…
"Wow. This actually sounds INCREDIBLE."
And anyone can get to that point. Where you feel proud of your work. Where you feel like you’ve achieved something - and overcome this huge hurdle.
Nothing beats that feeling.
It took me 10 years to consistently get that feeling.
10 years of slow progress, 10 years of trying new tips and tricks, looking for the “secret” to professional quality.
10 years of crushing self doubt.
So, here’s my question for you:
Do you want to spend 10 years figuring this out for yourself?
I wish I’d asked myself that question.
Because the answer would have been NO.
I DO NOT want to waste time.
Do you ever look at successful musicians, and wonder…
How did they get there?
Well, it’s simple...
Hard fucking work.
But there is a shortcut.
Let’s take a step back first. Let's go back to the very beginning.
You and I probably got into this for the same reason. One day, a thought occurred to you...
“I could just record my own music, I don’t need to go to a studio!”
And then the journey begins.
You buy a cheap audio interface, you get a mic, and you make your first recording - but it sucks. EVERYONE’S first recording sucks!
So you start researching online. You read through forums. You watch videos on YouTube. You learn loads of tips and tricks. You buy better gear and more plugins…
And none of it works.
Because you don’t need any of those things.
What you need is a complete workflow - not just a bunch of random tips.
You need feedback on your work, rather than just stumbling around in the dark trying to figure out what you’re doing wrong.
Sure, you could keep watching videos, you could figure it out yourself - but trust me, it WILL take years of hard work.
But what if there was a way to do it in a matter of WEEKS instead of years?
What if you could make professional music at home without having to spend 30 hours a week practicing recording and mixing?
And what if there was a way to finish a radio-ready track THIS MONTH?
Everything would be different.
Recording and mixing would be FUN.
You would feel PROUD of your work.
You could start sharing it online. Start building a fanbase.
You could be an active independent musician just weeks from now.
And that’s incredible, because independent artists now account for 38% of the entire music industry!
Thanks to the internet, it’s easier than ever to become a part-time or full-time independent artist.
Or, like some of our students, you could follow the more traditional route.
For example, Patrik of Bowski Island got signed just a few months after making his FIRST EVER home recording.
And they asked him to keep mixing his own music, rather than going to a studio.
The fact that he was signed based on his own mixes gave him a HUGE confidence boost. It gave him energy to create loads of new music, and he finally has trust in himself as an artist.
But he didn’t do this all by himself.
He shared this common “secret” trait that all successful musicians and engineers have.
So, what's this big secret?
The secret to making it in this industry?
The secret to making incredible music, growing a fanbase and make a living from your passion?
THAT is the secret to making fast progress.
Patrik wasn’t afraid to ask for help. He joined Home Studio University and soon after got signed.
It took me 10 years to figure out that this was the key. But as soon as I started getting help with my mixes, by asking for feedback and advice, my progress accelerated tenfold.
So… which path are you on?
Are you going to figure this out yourself, like I did? Waste 10 years AND risk failure?
Or are you going to take the only shortcut I know by GETTING HELP?
So you can start making great music TODAY.
So you can start enjoying the whole process TODAY.
So you can start sharing your music and building a career TODAY.
Think about that.
Which path would you rather be on?
Nobody is born talented.
And golden ears are a myth.
I can remember when I first started doing live sound, and one night I turned up the gain so much on the kick drum that it was distortion and clipping, BIG TIME, but I just couldn’t hear it. I didn’t know what distortion sounded like!
We were recording the gig for a live CD too, so the recording was completely trashed.
There were so many situations like this, where I would do something completely wrong, and have no idea it was even happening. I just couldn’t hear it.
Everyone starts somewhere. Everyone has to train their ears. And everyone gets there eventually.
Sure. Of course you can.
I’m not dumb, I realize that most people WON’T get help. But I think those people are making a horrible decision.
If you value your time, get help. If you want results NOW, get help.
But if you don’t value your time, then figure it out yourself - that’s absolutely fine.
I used to think that too.
But then I realized I was WASTING most of my time - by focusing on the wrong things.
If you spent every second learning the RIGHT stuff…
And had an incredible workflow that allowed you to make music in much less time…
Would you be wasting anywhere near as much time?
I learned this lesson the hard way.
If you accept that ANYONE can learn the skills required, accept that it IS possible to do this really fast if you GET HELP…
Do you see how easy this could be?
How easy it would be to:
It all starts here, with making great music in YOUR home studio.
This is the reason why I ‘m so passionate about what we do here.
I didn’t have this shortcut growing up. Besides getting a studio internship, there were few ways to actually get help.
I’m passionate about what we do because I wish this had existed when I was younger.
I know how much this would have helped me, so I know how much it will help you.
Are you ready to step onto the faster path?
Ready to GET HELP and make huge leaps in the quality of your music?

I am only a beginner. Will this program be too advanced for me?
Not at all! My advice is to get a head start and skip all the frustration and confusion that comes with learning home recording and mixing.
Joining this program will give you a tremendous head start. Plus, I make sure that everything I teach is easy to understand, even for absolute beginners.
This sounds like a big commitment. Will I have enough time?
Consider this - how long would it take you to figure this stuff out on your own?
Investing in this course is the much faster option.
You only need a few hours a month to get everything out of the program.
What's your refund policy? Can I cancel any time?
You can request a full refund on your 1st month any time.
After that, your membership will renew monthly.
You can leave at any time. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can stop the payments immediately.
How is this different from other subscription services, like Lynda, Dueling Mixes and Nail the Mix?
There are a few big differences:
Why is it so expensive?
This program is all about SAVING you money.
Compared to a piece of audio equipment, this is extremely affordable. It's more logical to invest in yourself and your skills than more equipment that you don't need.
Our program is on the expensive end of the spectrum because we're very hands on. From the second you join you'll be supported by a group of professional producers and engineers. You get personal feedback on your mixes, too.
Our goal is to deliver a college experience at an affordable cost.
I spent tens of thousands on a university education and over 11 years learning this stuff. But I want to give you complete access for less than the cost of a microphone stand.
Why would I pay for this instead of watching your free videos on YouTube?
Of course you could just watch YouTube videos! But how many years of trial and error will it take before you feel happy with your mixes?
Even so, most of the information inside this program isn't available anywhere else.
And don't forget the support, community and feedback you'll get too. You can't get that from YouTube.
Which DAW do you use?
I use Logic Pro X, but what I teach applies to any DAW. It really doesn't matter what software you're using.
What genres does this program cover?
Most of what I teach applies to any genre, but whenever there are differences I do my best to give examples and specify what those differences are.
To help with this, I use a range of genres with demonstration material, to make sure everything is covered.
We also have a few tutorials on how to approach different genres.
And if you feel that your genre isn't covered in enough detail, just let us know and we'll be sure to cater to your needs.
With this program you get a LIFETIME refund policy on your first months payment.
Just give the program a try, and if...
I will happily give you a full refund on your first payment, no questions asked.
If you do decide to stick around, but want to leave a few months down the line, you can just cancel whenever you want. There’s no contract!
But that’s not all. I truly believe in this program, so I’m willing to go the extra mile and make sure all the risk is on US. So, if you don’t get the results you were expecting, we'll return your money, but we'll also give you a FREE mix critique, and that’s AFTER refunding you every cent.
The real question is this: Is it worth gambling a few minutes of your time just to check this out? Even if it only does HALF of what I’ve claimed today, it will radically change your music. And if it doesn’t, we’ll give you a full refund, AND a free mix critique.
You’ll come away from this BETTER than when you started. It’s truly a win-win situation.
Just hoping for details on the mastering, artwork and digital publishing services included in the VIP package. Are there monthly track limits for these services?
Here are the monthly limits:
- 5 masters per month
- 1 album cover per month
- 5 release per month (a release can be a single, EP or album)
For the VIP plan - what does the free digital publishing include? Which platforms? And how will licensing, royalties etc work?
All the major platforms you'd expect. Here's the full list:
You will still own all rights to your music and get all royalties automatically each month.
Just check the DistroKid website for more info.
What happens on the monthly call?
The 30 min call is to catch up on the previous months progress, give in-depth feedback on your latest mix , and to talk about anything else you're struggling with.
If it helps, your personal mentor can open up their DAW and walk you through various techniques, or even mix your own track right in front of you.
And if you don't have time to schedule a call, we can just pre-record a 30 minute video for you to watch instead.
What service do you use for mastering as part of the VIP plan?
We use Aria Mastering.
This is my personal favorite after testing all the major options for automated mastering.
Which DAW do you use?
I use Logic Pro X, but what I teach applies to any DAW. It really doesn't matter what software you're using.
Does the same refund policy still apply?
How is this different to the VIP package?
You'll still get everything that comes with the VIP package, but will also get weekly 1-to-1 lessons with a professional producer or engineer.
For people who prefer a more hands on approach, this is the easiest and fastest way to learn. They'll teach you how to record and mix. They can even mix your own tracks right in front of you.
If you feel like you need help, getting a personal tutor is the best way to learn. Anytime you have a question or need feedback, you can just ask!
Is this covered by the same refund policy?
What happens on the weekly call?
On most weekly video calls your personal tutor will open up their DAW and teach you how to make professional sounding music. You can ask as many questions as you want.
Of course, recording/editing/maserting will also be covered in your weekly sessions. Whatever you're struggling with, we can help.
What's the custom coaching schedule?
Everyone is different, so after your initial assessment we'll create a weekly coaching plan that suits your schedule and will get your the fastest results.
